Tributes by Txillida

Here you have a note about the upcoming exhibit at the Chillida-Leku Museum:

Chillida-Leku opens Tuesday new exhibition of the Basque artist

The Chillida-Leku museum opens Tuesday an new exhibition that puts together the works Chillida carried out to pay tribute to other artists, writers and thinkers.

Titled "Chillida.Tributes", the exhibition will happen at the same time as the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum's exhibition "Homage to Chillida", on display from April 5 to June 11, that gathers other artists' works which pay homage to the Basque artist.

A spokesman for the Chillida-Leku museum said tributes had always been present in Eduardo Chillida's work since his "Tribute to Vivaldi" in 1952 opened an output of almost 150 pieces, 90 sculptures, 56 engravings and some drawings and gravitations.

Although very different in shape and size, all the sculptures within the exhibition have in common Eduardo Chillida's artistic language and its constant search for the balance between space and time, rhythm and musicality.
