Orange Until 2008

Seems like we Basques will be wearing orange until 2008 during the cycling events.

Euskaltel-Euskadi to stay in the peloton until 2008

BILBAO, May 11 (CP) - The Spanish formation Euskaltel-Euskadi will be seen in the peloton until 2008, as the Basque phone company Euskaltel has extended its contract with another two years.

José Antonio Ardanza, manager of the phone company, told Miguel Madariaga, the teammanager of Euskaltel, that they will continue their sponsorship of the ProTour squad until 2008.

"Of course both our team and our supporters are very happy with this. We will try to stay in the ProTour," said Madariaga.

Euskaltel-Euskadi achieved two victories so far this year: two stages in the Vuelta Ciclista al País Vasco, both won by Samuel Sanchez.
